Lay Counseling

We at Heritage are honored to offer a Lay Counseling ministry to those who are faced with emotional and relational problems. The ministry is provided by members of the church without charge. Our lay counselors are trained in the Exchanged Life model which provides understanding and experience of what Christ wants to do in us and through us (Gal. 2:20).
These counselors are not professionals in psychological counseling or psychiatric therapy and are not licensed. They do receive extensive training as well as ongoing supervision and continuing education.
We feel that literally every need can be addressed. Whether the issue is depression, addiction, anxiety, marital, relational, or other behavioral problems, Christian counseling can be very effective. With this Christ-centered model we use the Bible, the inspired Word of God, as our source of understanding the nature of man and resolving the problems we encounter. Confidentiality is very important and what is said in your counseling session will be held in the strictest of confidence to the full extent of the law.
