createdtoserve_smfeather Welcome to “Created to Serve,” our new Volunteer Services Ministry. We are excited about helping you find your place of service in The Body of Christ here at Heritage Christian Church.

To begin, please fill out the VOLUNTEER CONTACT FORM and list any areas of ministry you would like to serve in. Once your form is received, our volunteer team will contact you and then begin the process of connecting you with those that oversee the particular ministry you request to be involved in.

We believe a vital step for getting you “plugged in” to your area of giftedness and talents is to take our online assessment tool. It is called AssessME and it is totally free of charge. By investing about 30 minutes of your time, this tool will reveal your style of leadership, the spiritual gifts you’ve been given by God, and your personality style. Some of the results will show you who God made you to be, what you can contribute to ministry, and how leadership can support you.

This tool will also allow you to list any skills and talents you have that you would be willing to share within our congregation. Knowing about people who love to paint, build things, garden, act, sing, repair vehicles, and those who are handymen at heart will enable us to do some great things as a church body in the future .

IMPORTANT: This assessment is NOT a requirement before you can sign up to volunteer. You are welcome to fill out the VOLUNTEER CONTACT FORM without utilizing this tool. We are simply encouraging individuals who attend Heritage to take the time to do it. Because it is a valuable resource that will help you discover more about how God created you for service, it will help you concentrate on areas where your giftedness and talents can be used effectively.

Note: The assessment tool is available for individuals 16 years of age and older.

Please note that once you complete the assessment, a copy of your results will be sent to the Volunteer Services Ministry to be put on file. This assessment is for your own personal use. However, we would ask that you allow us to make the skills section of your assessment available for sharing with other key ministry leaders who will find the skills and interests you listed as helpful in their areas. We will not be in contact with you about your results unless you request further information.

We will be expanding our ministry in the days ahead as we continue to build our database by offering more service opportunities. Our prayer is that everyone will find a place of service here at Heritage as their gifts and talents are used to bring enthusiasm, fulfillment, and excitement in ministry for His Kingdom.
