Children

Kids in Flight is our preschool/grade school ministry that exists to provide a safe and fun place for children while parents worship, to present Bible Truth, to help them understand God’s unique plan for their lives, and to provide developmentally appropriate environments and activities to guide them in their spiritual walk. Nurseries (Infant/Toddler):

Location: Infant & Toddler Nurseries (Children’s Wing)

Time: 9:30am & 11:00am (Sun.)

We offer two well equipped nurseries for our younger children. These rooms are staffed with warm smiles, welcoming hugs, and trained volunteers. Infant and toddlers enjoy a relaxed environment in which to develop and utilize their ever growing minds and enhance their developmental skills.

Preschool (Age 2-4):

Location: Gates P2-P4 (Children’s Wing)

Time: 9:30am & 11:00am (Sun.)

First impressions are important.  That’s why we designed our First Look curriculum to give preschool children a first impression of their loving heavenly Father.  The curriculum keeps it simple and fun, repeating one basic truth about God all month long.  First Look also helps children understand worship and introduces them to small group time.

The activities tickle all the senses making mastering the concepts a blast.  Crazy fun activities to crafts to large group Bible story and worship time to small group Bible time, it’s all part of the plan to help a child believe three key things by the time he’s five years old:

• God made me.
• God loves me.
• Jesus wants to be my friend forever.

Elementary (K-4):

Location: Gate K5, Runway 12, & Ramp 34

Time: 9:30am & 11:00am (Sun.)

252 Basics: This curriculum is based on the teachings of Luke 2:52 and is built around three Basic Truths:

1. I need to make the wise choice.

2. I can trust God no matter what.

3. I should treat others the way I want to be treated.

Hangar 56 (5th & 6th Graders):

Location: Hangar 56

Time: 9:30am Service Only (Sun.)

Hangar 56 continues to use 252 Basics, however, even more emphasis is placed on small group time. Fifth and sixth grade students are given a unique environment created just for them with a live youth band for worship.

Classroom Locations

All children’s classrooms and nurseries are located in the Children’s Wing of the Worship Center. Classes are divided by age (preschool/nurseries) and by elementary grade. Each classroom is distinguished by an airport gate sign hanging over the door of each room. Each weekend, after checking in, children report to their age/grade room to meet with their small group leaders and prepare to participate in a large group worship setting.
