Parent Seminar
For any parents who were unable to attend our recent Parent Seminar, we have made it available for you to view online. It was a great evening filled with worship, information, and great teaching from Gabe Norris with Connect Ministries. The youth and children’s team also shared the vision and direction of the new family ministry opportunities at HCC. Please take some time to watch both videos so that you can be informed with what is going on and hear some practical parenting truths from Gabe Norris. If you have any questions please feel free to contact us at youth@heritagechristain.org or childrens@heritagechristian.org

D-Now Follow Up
Each year, middle and high school students across the country gather for Disciple Now, an annual gathering focused on worship and fellowship. Students stay in host homes and spend the weekend away from their regular lives digging into the Word and worshipping with their classmates and peers.
For 1400 students in Fayette County, last weekend centered on taking God “out of the box” and discovering God’s true personality. Representing 25 different congregations, the students came together for an incredible experience that included two corporate worship times and four small group sessions. Students were challenged to go beyond their limited understandings of God and see him as extraordinary, as greater than expectation, as a lover, and as “other“ a being so different, He can’t help but make a difference in the world.
Ninety-eight students represented Heritage at Disciple Now, from 7th through 12th grade. One student remarked of the weekend, “Wow! I feel that tonight chains were broken, hearts were mended, and lives were changed. What a crazy encounter with God!” while a leader simply said, “Incredible!” In order to make such a weekend possible, a host of volunteers gave their time and talents to serve as small group leaders, host home parents, transportation coordinators, and food providers. The student ministry would like to graciously thank all those volunteers who made D-Now 2010 possible with special thanks to Cheryl Whetstone who was an integral and invaluable part of the planning team.
